Speech Language Pathologist

Location: Neuro Clinic Idaho – Meridian, Idaho
Job Type: Full-Time 

Setting/Population: Neuro Outpatient Rehab for Adults with a Stroke or Brain Injury 

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join the Neuro Clinic of Idaho for Stroke & Brain Injury team in Meridian. The ideal candidate will have experience working with neurological conditions and a passion for helping patients regain communication, cognitive, and swallowing functions. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating adults with speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing disorders related to neurological impairments such as stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), tumor resection, and other brain injuries, as well as neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis (MS), and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.

  • Provide evidence-based therapy for neurological conditions affecting speech and swallowing.

  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including neurologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Educate patients and caregivers on treatment strategies, home exercises, and compensatory techniques.

  • Utilize advanced therapy techniques and technologies, such as neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES), voice therapy, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices as patients need. 

  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with clinic and regulatory standards.

  • Participate in clinic meetings, case conferences, and continuing education opportunities.

 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Idaho.

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.

  • Experience working with Adults diagnosed with neurological disorders in an outpatient, rehabilitation or acute care setting preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of neurogenic communication disorders, dysphagia management, and cognitive-linguistic therapy.

  • Preference to Medicare/Medicaid Insurance credentialed therapists. 

  • Proficiency in instrumental assessments (e.g., MBSS, FEES) is a plus.

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills.
